Leon County Sheriff's Department

Below is a chart of the Leon County Sheriff's Department radio template. Radios used are Motorola MTS2000. Each portable has a 16 channel selector switch along with a toggle switch labeled A,B,C. To switch to channel 10B, the deputy rotates the channel selector to position 10 and the toggle switch to B.  The chart below is EARLY information and is subject to change. Please report any errors that you may find to me

Each radio channel or position shown below, has the description and the Uniden Trunking code. This is the number that will show up in the display of the Trunk Tracker scanner. See Monitoring Tips for adding IDs into Scan List

Notes on Monitoring LCSO

As stated above, this is an early list. Some abbreviations above are not known yet (to me that is). Monitoring will shed some light on the subject. Please report any errors or additions that you find when monitoring.

Channels 10A, B and C as well as 11A, B and C are special event channels that all law enforcement agencies on the City system have common on their radios. So if a deputy is working a detail, he can tell FSU PD and City PD to switch to 10B and they can all communicate to each other. All other channels are programmed the way the department needs.

Notes from 1/5/2000 @ 10:00 PM -  Group ID 8016 is VERY active. It looks like LCSO main dispatch has switched over from UHF (460.200) to 1A - 8016. Keep those cards and letters coming in!
