Monitoring Notes
Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD)
disptches off talkgroup 1200. Just about ALL communications takes
place on this group. There are times when several calls are in
progress the District Chief will move fireground to another group,
either TAC 1 North District (ND) or South District (SD).
Administration Talk 9A, group 1616 are used for lengthly
conversations. Special Event 10A, group 688 is used for special
events such as FSU football games. The main dispatch, group 1200, is
simalcast on 154.190 for the volunteer fire departments since they
are still on VHF and do not have trunking capability.
EMS talkgroups are for future use. EMS is dispatched by Tallahassee
Memorial Hospital on 462.950 Mhz.
